When I became a resident of northern Virginia, one of the first things I got excited about was the Cherry Blossom festival in Washington, D.C.  I practically forced my mom and my nan to come visit me (although if you ask them, I'm sure they'll admit they needed no force) and the three of us spent a lovely spring day in DC.

A news crew spotted us as we settled down for lunch in the grass and interviewed us!

We went just days before my mom's birthday, so she deemed this day her birthday celebration.  "Take pictures of me and my birthday celebration!"
